I have been at my sister’s for over a week now, in a French village high on the hills. There is nothing here apart from family, the sun, a jacuzzi, conversation, laughter, some tears, and lots of laziness. I thought I would be okay maintaining this newsletter during the summer, but it is tougher than expected, so I will surrender and keep on disconnecting.
In the last two weeks, I have barely been able to keep in touch with what’s going on online, and that’s okay.
I have disconnected to reconnect with the people around me, the wonderful sunsets, the morning song of the cockerel, and the church bells.
When we return home, we will be only a couple of weeks away from the kids being back at school. The last high school year for E. As cliché as it sounds, where the heck has time gone?
We are hosting a foreign student this year, so I will focus on making our home ready for his arrival and for our return to normality. Until then, things will be slow and updates may be few and far between, but it won’t last. I will be back as soon as the dust settles and I am able to sink my teeth into all the projects that are currently dancing around in my head.
The next time you receive a Weekly Digest will be in a few weeks as I need to focus on home and the rest of the time off my kids have. There probably will be some life updates but those will come as and when the time feels right.
So I declare an out-of-office for the time being and send you all my love for now. I hope that whatever you are doing, you are enjoying the summer and hopefully some time off.
Much love,
Peggy x
