French Mango Embroidery is retiring

After almost 8 years, I am calling it a day.

Hello,

Happy New Year! I hope 2024 you lots of peace and joy.

Last February, I admitted defeat and stopped producing new embroidery patterns. I originally thought that eventually it would come back but it didn’t.

Almost a year on and my ambitions and desires have completely changed and so I am back here, on good old Substack, to let you know of these changes, with the main aim to give you the opportunity to opt out of this email list if you have absolutely no interest in this new journey.

So what’s new?

★ Taking time away from Embroidery as given me the head space to slowly, gently figure out what I really wanted to fill my days with and to cut a long story short this path led me to sign up for an Interior Designer Diploma with the British Academy of Interior Design.

For this reason and to support my studies, I have decided to align my new website (still French Mango, same but different) with my love for colours and home interior and I am hoping to present it to you very soon.

★ Alongside of this, I have decided to create an online accountability group to help myself and whoever needs a sense of commitment to set goals for themselves, create action plans and most of all implement them.

These meetups are going to be monthly dates you make with yourself, to take time away from distractions and focus on making happen what matters to you with some help guidance from me if you need it.

The concept is super simple and straightforward, anyone who needs some accountability is welcome to join. Regardless of what you are aiming for, you can use this space.

I am hoping that in time, I can use the same method to create weekly drop in sessions to provide a space for deep work.

Whether you need to write a blog post, do some admin, study, create content for your social media, etc, you will be able to drop in and get focused.

What can you expect of this letter now?

Content that reflects what is happening on the website, some news, content found that I am loving… to be honest this is a process and I will find my way I am sure but right now, although I know that this will remain a creative letter, the vision still a little unclear.

I will be very grateful if you decide to hang on a little longer and judge later if this is for you or not.

And if you already know for sure that you are not interested anymore, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the time we had together.
